Phi Phi restaurants are packed into Ton Sai Village and along Loh Dalum Bay, and the choice comes down to cheap Thai plates, beachfront seafood or Western menus priced for tourists. Travelfish says Phi Phi is better known for its bars than its restaurants and that prices can be high, but you will not go hungry. This guide picks 20 places to eat by budget and mood, from pier-side street food to a sunset dinner.
Details come from Travelfish, Lonely Planet, Frommer's, Fodor's, a Hotels.com list of 26 restaurants, Trip.com and 12Go. Most guides to Phi Phi restaurants are undated and none lists reliable opening hours, so we leave hours out. Restaurants on a small island change owners often, so confirm before you walk across the village.

Cheap Phi Phi Restaurants and Street Food
Cheap Phi Phi restaurants are easy to find once you leave the beachfront. Frommer's adds small halal food stands and carts selling Southern-style sweet roti with banana, though it gives no prices or hours.

- Papaya serves stock-standard Thai food in large portions, according to Travelfish, which says it moved from a streetside spot into two air-conditioned shops nearby. Trip.com scores it 4.7 from 91 reviews, from about €9, and 12Go puts the average dish at about 250 baht.
- Only Noodles is a hard-to-find corner for Thai fried noodles and pad thai, scored 4.0 from 17 reviews on Trip.com, from about €2.
- That Orange Place cooks northeastern Thai food at very reasonable prices, says Travelfish. It sells no alcohol, but staff will fetch a beer.
- Esan Ganeang is a family-run Isan restaurant in an alley of hole-in-the-wall spots, according to Lonely Planet.

Cheap does not mean boring: Trip.com also lists Anna's Restaurant (4.4 from 21 reviews) and Garlic 1992 (4.5 from 12) from about €9 for a meal. If you are counting every baht, our guide to Phi Phi hostels shows where dorm beds start.
Seafood Phi Phi Restaurants: Where to Eat the Catch
Seafood is the obvious order on an island, and several Phi Phi restaurants specialize in it. Prices vary with the day's catch, so ask before you order, especially anywhere that sells by weight.
- Corner Seafood sits at the junction near the market and is, per Travelfish, the main spot for seafood and more authentic Thai food, with paenang chicken curry on the menu. 12Go describes a simple, no-frills place where you order whatever was caught that day.
- Tonsai Seafood Restaurant is on the main beach street at Ton Sai Bay, near the pier. 12Go mentions sea views and a decent wine list, and Hotels.com says it is lively by day and calmer after sunset. Trip.com's ‘from' price of €26 is the highest on its top-10 list, from a single review, so check prices first.
- Rimlay is a large beachfront venue in Tonsai East with occasional deals, including seafood sold per kilo, according to Hotels.com.
- Andaman Legacy Seafood is part of the Phi Phi Andaman Legacy Resort in Tonsai East, with beachside views of Phi Phi Ley, Hotels.com says.
- Hippies Bar & Restaurant is on the eastern end of Ton Sai Beach. Fodor's lists burgers, steaks, pasta and pizza, and Hotels.com adds seafood broils, with beach parties and fire shows after dark.
Culture Trip notes that Tonsai Seafood has outdoor seating only, so check the weather in monsoon season. Our guide to the best time to visit Phi Phi explains when it rains.
Breakfast and Cafes: Phi Phi Restaurants for the Morning
Mornings matter when you choose among Phi Phi restaurants, because many tours and ferries leave early. Travelfish says Phi Phi Bakery draws a morning crowd for takeaway food for ferries and boat trips, and our guide to the Phi Phi island ferry shows the departure times.

- Phi Phi Bakery is a long-running bakery on the main street about 100 m from the pier, open since 1989 according to Hotels.com. Fodor's lists doughnuts, croissants, eggs Benedict and cinnamon buns.
- Patcharee Bakery sits across the path and sells cakes and coffee, and Bakery by Pa Jay, near the market, sells Italian breads, baguettes, bagels and sandwiches, per Travelfish.
- CapuLatte serves coffee, smoothies, breakfast, salads and pasta in central Ton Sai, and Hotels.com calls it a good people-watching spot.
- The Mango Garden is known for mango sticky rice, smoothies and all-day breakfast on the main drag from the pier. Trip.com scores it 3.9 from 11 reviews, from about €4.
- Grand PP Arcade is a family-run place in northeastern Ton Sai known for breakfast and free Wi-Fi, says Hotels.com, and Frommer's names Unni's for breakfast and hangover food.
Beachfront Phi Phi Restaurants for Sunset Dinners
Evening is when Phi Phi restaurants fill the sand at Loh Dalum Bay and the far end of Ton Sai Beach. Tables on the beach are the draw, but you pay for the view, so compare menus first. For the bars that follow dinner, see our Phi Phi nightlife guide.

- Ciao Bella is on Loh Dalum Beach with pizza, pasta and some Thai dishes. Travelfish praises the generous servings and shade on a beach with little, but says service is less friendly than before. 12Go gives pizzas as 120 to 250 baht.
- Mama Beach Restaurant is at the far end of Ton Sai Beach with a French and Thai menu and a wine list. Travelfish says mains are mostly 100 to 200 baht and recommends it for couples, and the Cliff Bar in front is a thatched hut on the sand for drinks.
- Matt's Joint runs an all-you-can-eat barbecue, with a nightly buffet at 299 baht that includes one beer or cocktail, says Travelfish. 12Go notes it is often full.
- Le Grand Bleu serves French and Thai fusion and is, per Culture Trip, among the island's more expensive restaurants, so book ahead.
- Efe Mediterranean in Tonsai serves kebabs, falafel and hummus, according to Hotels.com, and Unni's adds cocktails and a busy happy hour.
Staying near the beach helps, since you can walk back after dinner. Our guides to where to stay in Phi Phi and Phi Phi hotels show which areas sit close to these restaurants.
Vegetarian, Halal and Alcohol-Free Phi Phi Restaurants
Phi Phi restaurants offer fewer dietary options than a city, but there are some. Guides name few places, so ask your hotel for current suggestions.
- Vegetarian and vegan. Lonely Planet describes a trendy cafe with gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian dishes, and a restaurant with two separate kitchens, one of them vegan and vegetarian. Hotels.com says Jasmin BBQ at Laem Tong cooks Thai food including vegetarian dishes.
- Halal. Frommer's mentions small halal food stands, but gives no names or locations.
- No alcohol. Papaya serves none, according to Culture Trip, though a cocktail bar is next door, and That Orange Place will send staff to fetch a beer, says Travelfish.
Phi Phi Restaurants Beyond Ton Sai: Laem Tong, Loh Bagao and Long Beach
Phi Phi restaurants outside the village are fewer, so you will often eat at your resort or take a short boat ride. These are the places named for the quieter coasts.
- Jasmin BBQ is a laid-back beachfront place at Laem Tong. Hotels.com says it needs a reservation for dinner, and Lonely Planet describes a semi-open-air seafood restaurant in the middle of the beach. Our guide to Laem Tong Beach covers the north coast.
- Oasis Bar & Restaurant in Loh Bagao Village is a relaxed spot with rustic decor, where Hotels.com recommends the prawn tempura.
- Long Beach has lunch at the outdoor wooden tables of Paradise Pearl Bungalow, per Lonely Planet. See our guide to Long Beach for the beach itself.
- Resort restaurants. Large resorts such as SAii Phi Phi Island Village list several restaurants and bars, which matters where there is almost nowhere else to eat.
